Road Runner is the main program which controls Audio & Video playback, GPS integration and other key features of the CarPc set-up.  Road Runner is skinable so different graphical layouts can be used with this application.  Road Runner is a free open source front-end and designed in the main by Guino.

The customised skin of choice is called 'Simplistique'.  This is the base design for which i have added custom screens (skins) to suit my installation.  This skin was initially designed by Lloyd Cody.

A series of custom clocks have been designed by me which integrate into the Road Runner Skins.  These clocks are graphical representations of time, speed and Compass heading.  These clocks can be downloaded and a working example viewed HERE.  I am open for making custom clocks as required.  A full discussion thread about these clocks can be seen at the MP3Car forum HERE.

A member of the CarPC scene (Enforcer) and I have reworked a Access Control system originally designed and released by StevieG.
This software is intended to start-up at car-pc launch, in between your front-end. You configure this to launch, then it is configured to start-up your front-end software such as Road Runner once the correct pin is entered.  The main feature of this application, is that it records audio from the microphone while it is on the access control screen.  Plus it is  skinable and produces verbal alerts.
One use for it could be is to record a car being serviced to ensure, for piece of mind, you know how it was being treated while out of your sight. You may think up more interesting uses for it!
